AlterCOP is an independent event to complement COP. The Singapore flagship summit and regional events aim to keep corporate and the public informed of COP proceedings and outcomes, facilitate discourse and knowledge learning on corporate sustainability in a localised context, foster collaboration among various actors (professionals, academics, youth, NPOs, community groups, and policymakers) and inspire action.

AlterCOP 29 is our very first edition which was co-founded & co-organised with The Matcha Initiative, as our bid to decentralise & accelerate climate education, for a more inclusive grassroot-owned climate action in Singapore & beyond.

Over the 10 days conference, held at our sponsored venue Singapore Sustainability Academy in partnership with City Developments Limited and regionally, we welcomed 2300+ attendees, 250 speakers & trainers in 130 sessions, including the 68 mainstage Singapore sessions which you can now watch on Youtube.

AlterCOP is going global.

This year at AlterCOP 30, we will be doubling in number of conferences across Asia, beyond Singapore.

AlterCOP 30 will be participated by 9 countries & counting: 𝗔𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮, 𝗠𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗮, 𝗧𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱, 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗼𝗱𝗶𝗮, 𝗝𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗻, 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀, 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗮, 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘁𝗻𝗮𝗺 & the flagship summit in 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗽𝗼𝗿𝗲.

Each country is spearheaded by an amazing local network of friends & professionals to empower local sustainability action and partnerships.

Rooted in each country’s priorities and realities, AlterCOP 30 regional events aim to bridge the gap between international climate challenges and practical local action.

We also endeavour in organising scalable conferences that are light on the environment by keeping air travel to the bare minimum, therefore empowering local leaders & visionaries to lean into their local nuances.
